Yes, right-hand drive cars are legal throughout most of Canada (Quebec may be the exception. Please check your local laws). They are eligable for import after 15 years. How do I insure it? In Ontario, you MUST have at least a second vehicle in order to be insure a RHD car. Please ask your insurance provider first before inquiring. Only other option would be Facility (high-risk rates). I'm only paying about ~$120 a month for FULL coverage on this car. I would be more than happy to assist you in getting the car insured. Why is it Automatic? It's how the original owner built it. If you prefer a 5-speed, Auto to Manual swaps are commonly done and guides are readily available online. It does have a tiptronic "Hold" button, which holds the car in selected gear (the blue illumated button on the center console). This feature is currently disabled due to the Power FC ECU. Disclosure: -Because the wheels are so large, the tires can rub the plastic inner fender liner if you turn your wheels all the way. No problem when warmed up and running. An ECU tune or swap would resolve this. -The "Hold" light flashes because it's disabled by the Power FC. -The spark plug wires could use a replacement to create a better contact with the plugs. -There is some curb rash on the front passenger wheel. -Your neighbours will probably hate you. Used, This is a 1993 Mazda Rx7 25th Anniversary model, which celebrated the creation of the rotary engine in the R100 and was only available in Canada. It is a very rare model that is an R1 model with cruise control, 25th anniversary decals and floor mats. It has the best of both models: less weight and better suspension of the R1 but the cruise control from the Touring Model. I’ve never seen or heard of another 25th Anniversary; I’m sure other were sold but I haven’t been able to obtain the production numbers. Engine was rebuilt and tuned by Forcefed Performance in Abbotsford about three years ago and is good for roughly 400 horsepower. Still twin turbo but are now non sequential, eliminating the complicated vacuum system, increasing reliability and smoothing out the powerband. I have tried to keep to Mazda’s original goal with the car by keeping it light, simple and classy. The car runs and drives great. It was originally black but I had the car repainted in a titanium grey color, similar to the Spirit R. It’s a beautiful car that turns a lot of heads and you will have a hard time finding one that looks better. Serious inquires only please.
