Infiniti G35 History 1) Original Dealer: 417 Infiniti Nissan Ltd., 1599 Star-Top Road, Ottawa, Ontario. They used it as a courtesy car, for Infiniti owners having their cars serviced, from August 18th, 2003 until I bought it. 2) I purchased the Infiniti from “417 Infiniti”, July 30th, 2004, with 13,768 km on the odometer. The car had been exposed to very little winter ‘road salt’, and if it had been driven then, their practice was to thoroughly wash them at the end of the day, or when the car was returned. In my ‘in-depth through inspection’, I did not see any signs or traces of ‘road salt effects’, anywhere on the car, body, underneath, or on the chassis, etc. Hence, it was very much like a new car, along with the remaining new car warranty. 3) The Infiniti was driven typically from mid-April to the end of October, or before there was any salt on the roads. It was then professionally oil sprayed and stored in a heated garage for the balance of the year, until December 2008. I was a licensed helicopter mechanic for 8 years, after high school, a long time ago, and so, did most of the maintenance and took care of it as if it was a helicopter. Typically, during storage, the car was placed on stands, front and rear brake pads removed, brake rotors oiled, etc, and the engine ran for 20 minutes while the auto transmission was in drive every two weeks or so. 4) From January, 2009, the car was driven in the winter, but only when the roads were completely clear of snow, ice and ‘road salt’, etc and perfectly dry! Even then, for only relatively short drives of an hour or so, every two weeks or so, except for the times when I drove south to the lovely Florida, USA, sunshine! Also, as before, it was professionally oil sprayed every early fall and Kept in a heated garage during the cold weather. Moreover, from the very beginning, during the warm weather when the car was not used it was typically kept in the garage, away from the sun. 5) The car was frequently washed and waxed by hand and the maintenance was provided to the high Infiniti standards, initially by the original dealer, then Tony Graham Infiniti, and lastly by myself. I have performed all the required service and maintenance that was not covered by the Dealers, as per my set of mechanic’s Infiniti Shop Service Manuals. Further, complete Service and Maintenance records have been kept in my Log Book. 6) It’s a wonderful luxurious spirited sporty sedan that is not afraid of mountain and winding paved roads, demanding passing situations, etc, and is an absolute joy to drive. Aside from the occasional speeding ticket, it’s the best car I have ever owned!
