Used, Fiat 500D Classic / 1963 / LHD / Exceptional condition This highly desirable ‘D’ model (the most sought after & collectable model in the classic Nuova 500 range) has the very rare ‘suicide doors’, full length convertible sunshine roof - round speedo & original matching numbers engine. It’s an original 1963 LHD Italian example imported from Salerno. We showed this Classic 500D at Italia car day and it placed 2nd place in the classic Fiat category. Correct parts & original detailing is exceptional. It’s been given a full service & fitted with a new tan long sunshine roof. This beautiful example is eminently usable as it has its original matching numbers Fiat 499cc engine with original gearbox and drives & as good as it looks. The interior is trimmed in tan / cream along with the complete door card set & all interior trim was renewed, including the sunroof & roof frame, all other items of interior trim were refurbished or replaced. Lights were replaced & the correct aluminum surrounds installed, New rubber items were replaced including the door seals, window & side window seals. Also have replacement parts available and can be included in the sale. New windshield installed and new steering wheel horn installed. New shocks and brake all around have been installed for a complete brake system replacement. New exhaust and ensured that all mechanical items have either been refurbished or replaced. The bumpers & brackets were replaced, new wing mirror fitted. Original Fiat steel wheels, with matching Italian tires. The car was fully painted by the Guild of Automotive restorers in the original period shade of Fiat Verde Chiaro. Fitted a new exhaust & brackets, Have new decal set ready to install. Heat shield pad is new and ready to be installed. Steering geometry adjusted along with alignment. Tuned the carbs, and the timing, adjusted & cleaned the brakes and given a full service. New period luggage rack available. The car is on the button & ready to go & show or just enjoy. Original 500D jack, warning triangle, spare wheel with tire.
