In 1954, as part of the Motorama Line-Up, GM displayed special proto-type Corvette's, with the only Corvette Wagon referred to as the "Waldorf Nomad", which was later used as the Chevy Nomad Wagon. Basically, the '53 Retro Corvette is a re-bodied C-5 Convertible. This wagon was built from a 2004 glass hatchback with no modification to the existing seal surfaces. The Sport Wagon custom steel side exhaust, 7 chrome vertical strips on the rear fascia, fully functional rear hatch lid with added cargo space, hash marks on the roof panel, and an iconic design in modern proportions. The new retro designed package includes a new front & rear fascia, headlights, chrome die-cast grill & bumpers, hood, fenders rear quarter panels, and LED taillights, replacing the original parts.
